(More customer reviews)i cant understand why but the fuse blew after two minutes of this being used, and after replacing the fuse, the same thing happened again. i imagine that this is not common and i am guessing this was a rare malfunction but for all i know it could be a design flaw. the sound it made was better than any 8 inch subwoofer i have heard, but i had very little time to listen to it, and it is limited a little by its woofer size. if youre looking for very loud and very low bass, this might be too restrained and limited, but it is built very well, sounded precise and clean, has many features, and klipsch was very helpful when i called to troubleshoot (klipsch now owns jamo and is apparently beginning to limit their sales more to europe, where theyre much more popular, i think i might have bought the last of these actually) if you want to risk the slight possibility of malfunction and dont want the lowest, loudest bass, this is an excellent speaker, but not the best for its price, im looking at a BIC v1020 (cheaper, same build quality, lower bass from a 10" woofer, similar features). i expected a little more bass since the 6.5" woofers in my Jamo s 406 floorstanders matched my old sony 8" sub. Jamo makes some very very good speakers but this was an unpleasant experience involving the hunting down of some uncommon and now useless fuses.

The Jamo Sub 250 subwoofer is equipped with an 8" subwoofer unit housed in a unique slotted port cabinet. It features a powerful BASH amplifier capable of delivering 250W of peak power. Relative to its size and price, the SUB 250 delivers outstanding performance and is capable of producing bass frequencies down to 30 Hz. The SUB 250 has a very flat frequency response which allows it to play bass notes in a very convincing manner as compared to many conventional bass-reflex subwoofers. That response extends all the way up to 150Hz. This is important because the output from many subwoofers falls off dramatically at above 100Hz (or even lower with some models) making them very hard to integrate with smaller speakers.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the equivalent set of Jamospeakers about 3 years ago from a local A/V store going out of business for about half the amazon price.I was finishing my home theater and needed small, wall mountable speakers.The speaker enclosure style I have is just slightly different, but the package is virtually identical.These speakers sound amazing.They are very clear and reproduce everything from movies to music very well.I have listened to most types of music through them and it all sounds great. I have them paired with a Harman Kardon receiver using a larger Jamo center channel.I used the included center for my rear center speaker for 6.1 surround.Don't let the size fool you.I haven't heard a better set of speakers this size yet.Shortly after buying these, I helped install a friend's surround system with a Bose Acoustimass set costing about $1500.The Jamos are above and beyond at a fraction of the cost.If you are looking for quality sound at a good price without taking up too much space, this is the solution.I would recommend Jamo to anyone.

(More customer reviews)I was really excited to order these speakers. On the day they arrive, the center speaker was defective and caused my Yamaha RX-V465 to cut off and go into protection mode. This is a common indicator that a neg and pos wire are touching. I returned the whole set for an exchange. It took about 10 days for the return process. Once I got a new set, everything was great. The speakers are amazing, which they should be because they are made by Klipsch.... Great speaker, Great Price...
