They are plastic, but once mounted they're reasonably solid and pretty easy to angle how you like.Be sure to insert the hex key into the tightening nut BEFORE putting the speaker on.
Instructions could have been better, and one of the posts looked like it had a birth defect, but fortunately there were 10 of the posts and I only needed 5 as I was using the keyhole adapters...(which worked OK...)
The screws for the keyhole adapters really should be a little bit longer.Otherwise no complaints.
